Nutta Dorsal Design Unisex Cotton Tee
'Nutta' (GL111) is one of the next generation of Burrunan dolphins found in the Gippsland Lakes, born to resident Mum Nicola (GL206). While we are still unsure of Nutta's gender, her association patterns suggest she is a female. This means she is also the little sister of Summer (GL10307), and the two have been seen associating!
We use these marks on the dorsal fin to identify each Burrunan dolphin in our resident populations. They act as a unique ‘FINgerprint’ and allow us to track the dolphins through space and time, and identify close associations!
