Strategic Partnership Program
‘Making Waves: Marine Science and Sustainability Education for Victorian Schools’ is MMF’s innovative education project as a part of the Victorian State Government Department of Education Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) for 2024 and 2025. Through our project, we will deliver over 150 classroom and online incursions and learning programs to students in State Government primary and secondary schools across Victoria!
What is the Strategic Partnership Program?
The aim of the SPP is to support curriculum enrichment and enhancement programs that improve student achievement across Victorian curriculum and/or teacher capacity. SPP funded programs will provide opportunities that are not usually available in mainstream classrooms or professional development settings and enrich the learning experience of Victorian students.
Our project aims to provide equitable access to real-world science and sustainability education, specifically targeting disadvantaged and low socio-economic schools, students, and communities for participation in our education programs. Many regional and rural schools do not have access to such programs, and through our project, we will engage students across the state to inspire the next generation of scientists, conservationists and change-makers through our range of hands-on and inquiry-based learning opportunities.
Participation in our ‘Making Waves: Marine Science and Sustainability Education for Victorian Schools’ is open to all Victorian Government State schools. To have your students or school involved in the program, or to learn more, please complete the below inquiry form.
