MMF Dorsal Design Tee ‘Nemo’
‘Nemo’ GL10420 is one of Gippsland Lakes’s transient male Burrunan dolphins, visiting the Gippsland Lakes each and every winter. Nemo gained his name as high right pectoral fin is missing! The wounds around the missing pec fin were identified as a white shark bite! Nemo is always associated with other transient males Marlin GL10422, Bruce GL10421 and Noel GL10111.
Nemo’s ID code is GL10420, as he has nicks and notches across the entire trailing edge of his dorsal fin. We use these marks on the dorsal fin to identify each Burrunan dolphin in our resident populations. They act as a unique ‘FINgerprint’ and allow us to track the dolphins through space and time, and identify close associations!
All profits go to support MMF in our research, education and conservation endeavours…. Every little bit goes a long way!
Dorsal Design (c). Designed by the MMF Team.
Choose from various sizes and cuts.
