Curriculum Programs
Our curriculum-aligned classroom incursion programs provide students with the relevant topic theory and hands-on practical activities to develop a strong understanding of local marine environments, conservation, and sustainability.
Built directly from MMF research, our incursion programs can be tailored in duration and content to fit the learning needs of all students.
-
Classification
Based entirely in unique MMF research, students become dolphin taxonomists and follow in the footsteps of Dr Kate, as they collect and interpret data to identify different dolphin species.
-
Populations
Become dolphin researchers and investigate Burrunan dolphin populations, identify individual Burrunan dolphins using MMF’s fin-ID methodology and answer biological questions about the population.
-
Ecosystems
Discover the incredible marine ecosystems of Victoria, and investigate the biotic, abiotic and anthropogenic interactions within them that drive Burrunan dolphin distribution.
-
Food Webs & Food Chains
Explore the complexity of marine food webs and identify how interactions are influenced by biotic, abiotic and anthropogenic impacts, exploring how changes at different trophic levels can alter all interactions.
-
Adaptation & Evolution
With a focus on marine mammals in our marine environments, investigate the structural and behavioural adaptations required for survival in different habitats and biomes.
-
VCE Programs
Give your students the tools to become the scientists, conservationists, and leaders of tomorrow in our VCE Unit 3 & 4 study designs.
