School Sustainability Workshops

Our School Sustainability Workshops are a great way for students to develop and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of sustainability in the classroom, school, and wider community. Through interactive presentation and hands-on learning activities, students gain a strong understanding of the role they play in the conservation of marine environments.
In our half-day workshop, students are taken on the journey of discovery of the Burrunan dolphin, and introduced to the impact of litter and plastic in the marine environment, building the skills and knowledge to become leaders for sustainability in the school community.
In our full-day and multi-day workshops, students expand their exploration of the marine mammals of Victoria and how MMF research contributes to the conservation of marine environments, while developing a deep understanding of the impact of local litter, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate litter, plastic and marine debris within the classroom and school.
