We have some fantastic news to share with you! We have purchased our very own research vessel….but need your help to get us on the water!
For the last four years we have been reliant on hiring other vessels, at a considerable cost, to get us out on the water to undertake our vital applied research. By having our own research vessel we now have the flexibility of timing to undertake our ongoing research surveys, allowing us to take advantage of good weather days and/or reports, fast response to incidence (such a stranding events) and making us more easily identifiable as a research organisation whilst out on the water. This also removes a considerable burden of operating costs from the MMF annual budget. Whilst not shiny and new, it is a solid, serviceable and fit for purpose research vessel.
We need your help! We have had several donations and sponsorship that have allowed us to essentially put a deposit on the boat BUT we still need an additional $20,000 to get us on the water without having an ongoing debt.
We would greatly appreciate any donation, big or small, to help us achieve this goal. We also have research vessel sponsorship opportunities for larger donations. Please email email@example.com for further information or make a donation today (online via the secure PayPal, direct debit and cheque options also available).
MMF is a small not-for-profit ACNC Registered Charity organisation making amazing contributions to applied research, education, outreach and the conservation of marine mammals and their environment. Rest assured you will know that every contribution to MMF goes a long way to achieving our big mission, especially in the conservation of the iconic and endangered of Burrunan dolphin! Every little bit counts and we thank you for your continuing support.
All donations or gifts over $2 are tax deductible. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a donation receipt.
